SpiderGodBetaTestAfter the crazy week that was PAX, we’ve now returned back to our respective hemispheres. A little jet-lagged, with pax-pox nipping at our heels,  but we’ve now safely recovered and moving forward to complete our seventh Gamebook Adventures title, Temple of the Spider God! Last week we officially entered beta-testing to catch all those pesky little bugs and should have a submission to Apple by the end of the month.

We had been intending a July release and with us now rapidly approaching October, this is obviously a little ways off the mark. So, we duly apologise, but wanted to let you know that it’s all been for a great cause as we have completely replaced the old GA engine and updated our gamebook language. These changes include a whole bunch of new features that will slowly come into existence in future gamebooks (which we’ll post about soon) and also means we have created a new graphical interface for Spider God to give our fans something new and fresh to look at. Don’t get me wrong, we love the old interface (and that won’t be changing), but we felt we wanted to inject some new blood into the team and welcomed Joshua Wright to do some re-designs on top of creating all the gorgeous illustrations for the gamebook.

With Jonathan Green chomping at the bit to see his gamebook hit the app store, we can announce that this won’t be his last foray into Gamebook Adventures and he is currently developing some exciting new IP for us, which will be revealed in due course! We are also looking forward to co-designing a brand new series of epic stories set in Orlandes’ world – again, all will be revealed at some point in the future.

Right, back to spinning webs from my bottom. 😉
